Finished at last! I completed the Juggle pattern quilt (by Camille Roskelley, I think) using Hand Drawn Garden (Anna Maria Horner reissue fabric)! I love the rich jewel tones! Bam gave me this fabric last year. I fussy-cut many of the hexagons to showcase the gorgeous designs. Bella Bamert did the long arm quilting AND pieced the back for me (something I do not enjoy doing and am not terribly proficient at) in such a stunning way. This quilt can be displayed front or back (I love the medallions with the bird motif).
My next completed project was a tiny baby girl quilt, with an original design, made using Tula Pink’s Plume fabric (I think that’s the name, but not positive). I had a charm pack and could never decide what to do, so I played around with it and added embroidery to each block. It turned out really sweet. Bam and I decided that it’s going in the hope chest for whoever has a baby girl next in our family.
Bam got me a surprise last week…an adorable pattern book of stuffed animals! I can’t wait to make some lions, elephants and seals! I’d like to think that I’ll give them to friends expecting babies, but, really, I know I’ll love them too much to part with them. These are problems when you have a soft heart.
