Naked, not Nekkid

Be forewarned…there are LOTS of naked people ahead. I did all these figure sketches in college and was going through them this weekend, cleaning out junk. Most of them are on cheap newsprint and won’t last forever anyway, so I thought I’d give them a little more attention before they get tossed. I remember doing most of them and recall the joy in each line and gesture. While my art didn’t lead to a successful, lucrative career (we call them “starving artists” for a reason), I’m very appreciative that my parents allowed me to pursue my passion. I loved every minute.

(By the way, naked not nekkid refers to the late Lewis Grizzard’s definition of the two words. Naked means you don’t have any clothes on. Nekkid means you don’t have clothes on and you’re up to no good. Before his untimely death, he lived in the house next door to my folks.)
