Gratitude

So, an idea popped into my head the other day…sharing a daily (or near daily) expression of love and gratitude for others. Family, friends and even strangers who have touched my life in some way.

Today seemed like the best day to start–Memorial Day. A day for remembering soldiers who have died serving our nation. My family has several veterans, including Papa, Big Jack and Uncle Tim. Papa served in the Korean War in Alaska. Big Jack was stationed in Pearl Harbor when it was attacked. Uncle Tim attended VMI and served in the U.S. Reserves for over twenty years.

For all our fallen heroes, and their families, thank you. Your sacrifices have protected and preserved the freedoms we hold so dear. God bless you all.
