Farewell 2012, helllllooooo 2013! Thirteen is my family’s lucky number, so I am super excited about this new year. I’m hoping it will be the best ever! Lots to look forward to!

My parents got married on Friday the 13th (nearly three decades ago–woohoo!). They started their company on August 13th (over 30 years ago). And we survived a tree falling on our house on March 13th, 1993.

New Year’s Eve is always a little bittersweet for me. I miss Mama Laura, my great-grandmother, and my Cairn terrier, Dorothy. We spent so many New Years eves together, watching Dick Clark at the ball drop and then going outside to see fireworks. I do miss her so.

I got more quilt blocks done! Yay! This Tula Pink quilt is zipping along now. I have 14 more to go.

I wanted to thank all the folks who follow my blog, comment and like the posts. Your interest and feedback mean a lot to me. Best wishes for a year full of love, prosperity and blessings!
